Storyteller, Speaker and Voice Actor
Welcome to my website! I’m Bentley Pistorius, a Salt Lake City based, Dan’-dee-ni’ storyteller, voice actor and public speaker. My storytelling roots go deep, stemming from my connection to my heritage in the Umpqua and Coquille bands of the Dan’-dee-ni’ tribe, part of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz. I’ve been passionate about stories for as long as I can remember. Over a decade ago, I began sharing my stories with others through performance, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since.
My stories cover a wide variety of topics and themes, though I connect most deeply with the Indigenous stories and histories from my heritage. I believe that stories have the power to bring people together, and to help build relationships and communities through understanding. Through my storytelling, I hope to educate, heal, and connect people to each other and to the natural world.
In addition to storytelling, I also do public speaking. I use my stories and storytelling to help illustrate and connect my audience to important principles in business, relationships, and life. I’ve found strategic use of stories and storytelling to draw people in, fostering increased engagement, deeper learning, and more thoughtful application. I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others in a fun and interesting way!
I also put my skills to use as a voice actor, bringing characters and narratives to life. Whether it’s lending my voice to a commercial, audiobook, animation, or video game, I strive to immerse myself in the character’s world and embody their story and relationship with the intended audience. I work closely with clients and directors to ensure that the final product meets their expectations and resonates as it should. I’m always excited to take on new challenges and breathe life into new stories.
